Custom crating for your most valuable freight
When a pallet isn’t enough, a purpose-built wooden crate protects high-value parts, machinery and export shipments — engineered to the load and built to clear customs.
Crating services, built around the contents
Some shipments are too valuable, heavy or fragile to trust to a standard pallet. Our crating services put a wooden structure around your product that’s engineered to its exact dimensions, weight and handling — so it arrives the way it left.
- Aerospace crating — custom crates for high-value aerospace parts and assemblies, with internal bracing
- Machinery & equipment — heavy-duty crates and skids engineered for weight and size
- Export crates — heat-treated, ISPM-15 stamped for international shipment
- Open crates & enclosed boxes — the right structure for the value and fragility of your load
Aerospace & precision parts
The Pacific Northwest is an aerospace hub, and the parts that move through it can’t ship on whatever’s handy. We engineer aerospace crating with internal blocking and bracing designed around your specific component, so it stays immobile through every handling and transit shock — from a single prototype crate to recurring production packaging. See our aerospace page for more.
One compliant source for the whole shipment
Pair your crates with matching pallets, dunnage and blocking, and our own delivery, and you’ve sourced an entire export-ready shipment from Associated Products Shipping Solutions in one call.
Crating services — FAQs
Do you build aerospace crating?
Yes. We build custom wooden crates for aerospace parts and assemblies, with internal blocking and bracing engineered around the component so high-value, sensitive parts stay immobile and protected through handling and transit.
What’s the difference between a crate and a box?
A crate is an open, framed wooden structure that braces and protects the contents; a box is fully enclosed. We build both — the right choice depends on the value, fragility and shipping method of your product.
Can crates be export-compliant?
Yes. Crates for international shipment are built heat-treated and ISPM-15 stamped, just like our export pallets, so they clear customs without a packaging hold.
Do you crate heavy machinery and equipment?
We do. Heavy-duty crates are engineered for the weight and dimensions of machinery and industrial equipment, with reinforced framing, skids and bracing for safe handling.
